I hope everyone has a great New Year! See you in 2011! (:

Although it was kind of windy and cold, I didn't feel the need for a coat. It wasn't that cold to me and between the long sleeved sweater dress and the button up over it, I was pretty warm. I just kind of threw this outfit together rather than throwing on some skinny jeans and my NB993's. Plus now that I'm home, my lighting is better and my pictures came out way nicer.

Hello Loves!
I planned to post some lovley links to blogs, vlogs and sites every Sunday, but some sundays I'm too busy with art homework! Anyways, here are some links I stumbled upon this week that I found helpful and interesting. Check them out!
♥I always find blogs about improving and transitiong your blog very useful. Every tip helps and this post by The Lingere Addict on IFB did help me.
♥ I am currently in the proccess of improving my outfit photos (perferably inside). I finally found some pretty useful tips from a ModCloth blog. Hopefully if anyone else needs to improve their outfit photos they can use this link too! If anyone has some tips for me themselves feel free to let know!
♥ It's that time of the year; Christmas shopping! For some, like me, Christmas shopping could mean excessive shopping for gifts. Here's some Shopping Psych 101 tips (a hiliarous one, even for men!) for holiday shopping that I found very interesting.
♥ I loved the photos of Tim Walker's 2009 Harper's Bazzar editorial that Rachel featured in her bog, The Fashion Ambasidor, but what I loved even more was Rachel's idea for an editiorial. Although Tim Walker had already done it, Rachel had planned an editorial photoshoot for a class with the character Edward Scissorhands. I'm a sucker for creative and innovative people! :)
♥ Right now I am interested in knowing how to sew. I found these fashion sewing tips for beginners very useful.
♥ Did you know that chewing gum stimulates the brain? While doing some research I came across this and found it odd and cool. Now if teachers say anything about chewing gum in class, just point this fact out!
♥ V-Blog beauty expert, Michel Phan, made this pretty cool video on making your own pore strips. If you don't know what they are, they're strips that go over your nose and pulls up dirt and oil. They can be pretty expensive if you use them on a regular basis which is why i found this video pretty interesting. I didn't know you could MAKE pore strips!

It's almost finals week and I know lots of people are stressing! Soon everyone will have their heads stuck in books or writing they're 30th page for a final paper. Just remember to not overdue it, get stressed and end up having a bad day! But here are some tips to help you relax. I'm not saying completely stop studying to relive some stress, but take a break and relax!
♥Movie Night: Invite a couple of friends over and have a movie night in your dorm or at home! Pick something scary, funny or romantic to get your mind off finals for a little while. Don't get carried away and spend the next few days having movie night. You and your friends can do a little studying before or after the movie too.
♥Game Night: Host a game night. Weather it be on your X-Box 360 or go old school with board games and card games like Monopoly and Goldfish. You can even try hosting a game that helps you study in a fun way! Many people find studying games like a Jeopardy styled game helpful.
♥Hit the Gym: Exercising is the perfect way to relieve stress. If you haven't worked out in a while it will make you sore, so go light. Scientist say that exercising clears some hormones and triggers the body's relaxation response as well as increase blood flow. Join a free yoga or piliates group on campus or create a playlist of your favorite upbeat dance songs and head to the gym, or dance around your room!
♥Go to bed Early: Believe it or not sleeping can really make a difference in your day. We all know what it's like to run on three or four hours of sleep in one day. We get moody, anxious, easily aggravated and irritated and well... sleepy. Getting enough sleep each night, which is about eight hours, will help you stay awake and focused while studying and taking tests. If you're studying and you feel sleepy, the best thing to do is to go to sleep!
♥Shop: Treat yourself to to a few nice things! Buy yourself a new sweater or a pair of shoes. Shopping helps me relieve stress most of the time. Thinking about something other than what's stressing you can help take your mind off of it, help you relax and go back to it later with a fresh mind! Don't go and blow all of your money. Set a 2ang limit at $50 or less and buy whatever you want!
Study Tips
Oddly a lot of people don't know how to study, even after 13 years of schooling. Studying all depends on the person. Some people study with music and the TV on while others need to study in complete silence. Make sure you choose a place and a technique that helps you study and learn the best.
♥Use Online Help for the Course: Some of your classes have online help or CD-Rom programs to go along with your text book. Use them! If they give chapter outlines, practice tests or essay questions use it to study chapters you aren't so sure about. Your teachers probably get questions for tests their too! If you're not sure if your book has this Google it or another version of the book which shouldn't be that much different.
♥Use Old Tests, Quizzes, Notes and Papers: Those old tests and papers aren't just for decoration or lining your trash can. Many teachers use questions from old tests and quizzes on midterms and finals. Those tests and papers can also help you know the important things to study. Try to remember if your teacher stayed on a topic longer than usual or included in more than one tests.
♥Review Sheets: Almost every teacher gives you a review sheet and will say, "You don't have to do it, but I suggest you do." Even in high school teachers say this. Use it! Review sheets often come from teachers to look at the test and tell you what to study. It may not be worth any points, but it's a great way to study and will probably require you to read your text book, quizzes, notes and papers. Review sheets can also save you time from having to read straight from the text book on things that probably aren't even on the test.
♥Eat Healthy: Eating healthy foods is important. Over the years you've probably heard that taking long tests and exams is mentally equivalent to running a marathon. Before you run a marathon or take a test the number one suggestion is to eat right! Eating "brain food" before studying can help. These 'brain foods' include bananas, cheese, potatoes, oatmeal and vegetables just to name a few. I also found oddly that gum stimulates brain power too!
♥Use the Free Tutoring: Tutoring can be expensive (I've seen rates as high as $50/hr). Almost every school offers some form of free tutoring. Take advantage of it! Maybe your teacher didn't explain it in a way that you understand and maybe another student can. Choose a tutor who won't distract you! Make sure if your tutor is a cutie, you can still concentrate your work and not his smile!
Good luck on your finals!
What are some ways that you relieve stress during finals week or even at work?
Did anyone miss the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last night? I really hope not! The show was simply amazing. The show opened up with Katy Perry performing her song 'Firework' before we got to know the Angels. Although I miss the old Angels (Hedi Klum, Tyra Banks and Gisele Bundchen), my eyes were still glued to the screen watching the show. The shoes were to die for and I just wanted to go to Victoria's Secret and buy stuff! The show portrayed the elements and styles of Victoria's Secret PINK line; it was cute, pretty colorful, playful and sexy. The 'classic' Victoria's Secret look was also portrayed as well. I loved Alessandra Ambrosio's brown leather knee high boots she wore with her cutout bathing suit and black and white wings.
As I watched I couldn't help but think of a question my Sociology teacher asked after another students presentation on the objectification of women. She played a YouTube video of ads where women were basically sexy symbols. (Tom Ford had a lot of those ads with naked women for menswear.) Someone asked, "Well doesn't Victoria's Secret do the same thing?" Watching the show, the answer was definitely a no. Victoria's Secret models are beautiful women who show that lingerie is fun, cute and makes you feel sexy. These are women glorifying the female body in an appropriate and respectful manner. Watching the show and the behind the scenes reminded me that even though they are Victoria's Secret models, they are just like every other woman; they get nervous, excited, they cry, they admire other models and they know how to have fun!
Last, but not least, Adriana Lima looked amazing in the 2 million dollar bra! Didn't she just have a baby?! How many of you are heading to Victoria's Secret? Haha.

Hello Loves!
Even after Black Friday shopping, there are still some things I want! Good thing Christmas is coming up! Here's my wish list! of things I'd love for the cold fall days and winter! :)
Chunky Scarf, Shearling Booties
Suede Wedge Booties, Lace Up Booties
What's on your wish list?
I'm not a huge fan of Miley, but I loved her relaxed and casual look. Without the cute and destructed booties, this outfit would probably be boring. This is a perfect outfit for a lazy day or a quick run to the store! I need a cute pair of flat destructive booties!
Hello Loves! You can now follow my blog via bloglovin! You can also still follow with OnSugar without having an account. You can also connect and long onto OnSugar with Facebook. Feel free to like (Facebook) or retweet (Twitter) any post in the top right corner of the post!
Happy Turkey Day Loves! I can't wait for dinner time today! Food! I'm also going shopping in the Black Friday madness with my best friend and hopefully I snag a lot of stuff. Just remember everything that you're thankful for and enjoy the time that you're spending with your family! :)
Hello loves!<3
I recently got these new beautiful oversized threaded earrings from Body Central. They were on sale for $3.80. I love the design, stitching and the color. (I wear a lot of brown, lol!)I don't know if someone made these by hand, but they look like it. They're kind of big, but I still love them! Body Central had earrings like these in all kinds of colors. I think I might go back for black! I got a cute gold knoted necklace too, but I'll show you guys that later. :)
Hello Loves!
Today is a much anticipated day! Lanvin for H&M hit select stores. On the 23rd, they'll be available in 200 stores, so don't worry! The collection consists of tops, dresses, skirts, shoes and more! The price range for the pieces are from $39.50 to $349. Some pieces are rather expensive, but I think they're a good investment for a special occasion. According to various online sources, all shoes are $99 and dresses are up to $249. In a few days we'll know the prices of everything!
I put together some outfits with three Lanvin for H&M pieces that I liked; a graphic tee, heels and a dress. Hope you enjoy! :)
Look #1
I love this graphic tee. It reminds me of my art class, but I love how the design literally comes out of the shirt. It's not a flat or generic graphic tee. It can be easily dressed up or down!
Blazer, Jeans, Braclet, Earrings, Pumps, Clutch
Look #2
These heels are adorable. I love the teal trim, the bow and the floral print underneath it all. These would look great with an all black and edgy glam look.
Ring, Leggings, Top, Necklace, Blazer
Look #3
I think I'd wear this dress to a special occasion event. For $99, it's definitely worth it. I love the top and the sleeves, it's just adorable. I'd do a statement necklace and more simple shoes for this dress. The sleeves and a statement necklace would say enough about the dress.
Hello loves!<3
Ordered some outback and got this delicious side salad. I'm a sucker for salads. I'm not anorexic or an extreme health freak; I just love salads! House salads (w/ no onions) and chicken ceasar salads are my favorite. This one resturant my mom took me too had a delicious salad with mango and an Asian dressing with beats. It was sweet and tangy all at once. It was surprisingly good! :)
Hello loves! I just painted my nails again. I love this color. It's Wet n Wild Megalast 'Bite the Bullet' Nail Polish. I did my nails this color at the nail salon when I had long nails, but I think it's much cuter on shorter nails. It was $1.99 at CVS. I highly recommend it! :)
How do you like my new header and signature? Not 100% on either yet. Just testing them out! I'd love to know what you guys think! :)
We all know everybodies favorite It girl Rihanna dyed her hair red, but she added some length! Yay or nay look for miss Rihanna? For someone who inspired half the famale population to chop their hair off, she's brave to add some tracks, but I love her red hair. It looks stunning against her skin tone; although, I perfer it up or cut though!
With short hair, she looks more edgy and older. The longer hair gives her a very soft and feminie look. When she began to sport the red hair it was a very pretty, sweet and femine look, like the do she sported at the 2010 VMA's. The long hair does give some edge, but the short red hair did it better. I think that her hair styles are much more daring and experimental than when she first came out when she just had long, brunette hair.
So i say yay! :)

What do you think?
I just repainted my nails after going to the nail salon. Their polish never lasts long. This new cute, brown metallic nail polish is Goldmine Craze Nail Color. It was $1.99. After about three coats I actually loved it. I think it'd look cute as an almost nude color on a matching skin tone! :)
