♥ What do you blog about?
I am all things fashion. On my blog, I do critiques, "who wore it better," classy items, mini articles, etc. I like to focus on the affordable and the classy. There are very few who can afford designer merchandise, and those who can usually don't need to read someone else's opinion on how they should wear it. So I like to bring down the price tags and show girls (and guys!) how to look designer without breaking the bank.

♥ What inspired you to start blogging?
People. The people are what keep me doing everything. For good and bad reasons. Reading Classy by Derek Blasberg really helped me focus on bettering myself and wanting to help others. Blogging is my way to get out to the people what they may overlook themselves and to help inspire class.

♥ Favorite part about blogging?
My favorite part about blogging is getting to say how I really feel. I'm not a real "tell it like it is" person. Not because I'm afraid of what people will say, but more because I feel like it's more socially appropriate. I'm not going to go up and tell someone I don't like them, because that's just not appropriate. But with blogging, I love being able to critique clothing without feeling like I'm in an improper setting for doing so.

♥ If you could have lunch with one designer, who?
So many! However a favorite of mine is Christian Louboutin. I love his designs because they're so original. When I see a shoe, I can tell if it's a Louboutin. Also, they are all so my style!

♥ What does fashion mean to you?
I answered this question not long ago on IFB and I had said "I've played in band all my life and all my friends say "I express myself through music!" I thought that that was the way I had to feel too. However, I got to thinking that in music, you're playing the notes on the page. You're playing the composers interpretation, not your own. How could anyone express themselves through that? To find expression through music, I tried various mediums. I tried jazz, but even in improvisation, you have to stay within a chord structure. I tried writing my own, but in music theory there are so many rules that prevent one from doing what they wish. I eventually found that my main means of expressing myself was through fashion, and I became known for doing so. If there's not a certain item you want, you can make it. Fashion is endless and limitless. Fashion lets me show who I am."

♥ Favorite thing in your closet?
My heels! I own 27 pairs of stilettos and 2 pairs of wedges. I love wearing simple, neutral outfits with the most wild, and tall heels I can find! Hence why I love Louboutin. I'm working to get a least a 5" pair of stilettos and in every animal print (faux of course).

♥ Your favorite blog to read?
Yours ;) But aside from blogs, I could browse lookbook.nu for hours.

♥ Favorite place to shop?
I love shopping at Forever 21 and H&M. My style is very edgy and modern. Rarely, I'll find a thrift jem, but those 2 stores are always reliable and affordable.

♥ Other hobbies?
Like I said in the other question, I'm in band! I play saxophone in the jazz band, select band, woodwind ensemble, pit orchestra, concert band, symphonic band, and I have played it in the marching band and parade band. I'm now the drum major (conductor) for both. I also used to play guitar for the winter drumline, and flute for the pit orchestra. Aside from my nerdy-ness, I hang out with the other type of band; rock bands. My boyfriend of over 2 years, Josh Burke, is the new lead guitarist for the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, so I've been supporting him, and hopefully soon I'll be going on tour with them.

Designer: Resin by Chantel Valentene

Everybody loves denim! A designer to watch if you're not already is Chantel Valentene who is the creator behind Resin denim. The brand has everything from denim shorts to denim jackets. The silhouettes, cuts and look books are all gorgeous!

The designer recently teamed up with Made Her Think designer, Meredith Kahn, to create some stellar jeans. One of their signature denim shorts include a brass design on the side of the shorts. You can shop Resin at Barney's, Shopbop.com and Fred Segal.

Summertime and the Living Is Easy

Meet my new bathing suit! So, I've been to the pool once so far this summer and I have like 5 bathing suits, lol. I always insist I need more and end up not buying any. This lovely one I couldn't resist. It was on sale in the Victoria's Secret catalog! It deff has a summery feel with the colors and stripes. Guess I'm gonna have to make a trip to the pool to show this baby off!

♥ What do you blog about?
I mostly blog about my own outfits and my own fashion interests, but I've also done a few discussion posts, they're always fun to have a chat with your readers and find out their opinions on current affair issues.

♥ What inspired you to start blogging?
I was first inspired to start my own blog through reading other fashion blogs. I would read these blogs that had thousands of followers and think 'I can do that.' I love fashion, writing and photography so what better way to combine my three loves than through my very own fashion blog.

♥ Favorite part about blogging?
I love getting to know people from around the world. I love being able to chat with my readers and share my own experience of fashion with them, and in turn see how they style their own outfits.

♥ If you could havelunch with one designer, who?

The late Alexander McQueen, not only was he a brilliant designer who changed the face of fashion. But whenever I heard/read interviews with him he seems like such a vivacious man with a genuine love of life. He seems like he would have been a great person to sit down and have a few too many drinks with.

♥ What does fashion mean to you?
Fashion to me is a way to be creative. Styling an outfit is in a way like creating art, it's all about having the perfect balance of colour, texture and size. Creating the perfect outfit requires a lot of thought and a lot of creativity and I just love the process of creating the outfits that I display on my blog.

♥ Favorite thingin your closet?

Definitely my new JC Lita shoes that I picked up secondhand for only $30. I've been wanting a pair of ages to actually getting to finally wear a pair was amazing.

♥ Your favorite blog to read?
I'm a huge fan of Margaret Zhang at Shine By Three, she has such great style and she's my age so it's nice to see someone so strong in the blogging community who is the same age as I am.

♥ Favorite place to shop?
Charity stores! I always manage to find amazing finds for bargain prices. Charity stores are always the first place I look when I'm trying to find something new to add to my wardrobe.

♥ Other hobbies?
I'm a humongous nerd, I love reading. I work part time in a bookstore so my shelves at home are literally over flowing!

Runaway With Me

I love taking my camera out on beautiful days. I took these shots about a day before my vacation. I'm so glad to be home! While I had so much fun, there's nothing like being home in your own bed. I'm also happy to report that my shop is doing quite well. Hopefully I can get some more merchandise by this weekend! This outfit was super comfy. I am in love with my DIY high waist shorts with a small vintage belt (that actually fits!)

Hola from Nashville! I'm currently on vaca at my family reunion in Nashville, TN. I found some pink lipstick and nail polish the other day. I was scared of course because they're bright colors and I usually stick with darker colors. I loved the nails. Rimmel London's Lasting Finish Pro  is my favorite polish. The brush is just to die for! But I had to mix the lipstick w/ a red. It just didn't match my complexion. Like my silly pic? LOL Have a wonderful day! (:

 

Le Chic Cinderella

I'm a leopard print whore. I just love it. I couldn't wait to wear my new Aldo wedges either (they were on sale!). They're super comfy. I wore them standing/walking around for 5 hours. I was ready to kick them off by the end of the night but my feet weren't dead.
